Yui Makino is a Japanese actress, voice actress, singer, and pianist. She was born on January 19, 1986, in the Mie Prefecture. Yui began playing piano at age 4 and was discovered by film director Shunji Iwai, who featured her piano solos on the films Love Letter (1995), All About Lily Chou-Chou (2001), and Hana and Alice (2004). "Omna Magni," her first single, saw the light in 2005 and was used as the ending theme song for the anime series Sousei no Aquarion.
