Young Fathers aka Alloysious Massaquoi (born in Liberia), Kayus Bankole (born in
Edinburgh), and Graham "G" Hastings (born in Edinburgh) formed in Edinburgh in
2008 and cut their teeth performing in nightclubs as teenagers before releasing
their first single "Straight Back on It." They introduced their inimitable blend
of hip-hop and electronic indie on their first EP Tape One in November 2011 and
for their second EP, Tape Two, won the Scottish Album of the Year Award. The
trio went to number 35 in the UK with their debut album Dead in 2014, which also
won the 2014 Mercury Prize....
