Hailing from Bad Homburg, Germany, York are an electronic duo formed in 1997 by
brothers Torsten and Jörg Stenzel. York’s approach to downtempo, chillout,
ambient, house, and trance has enabled them to create unique audio atmospheres
grounded in dance music and laced with melodic guitar hooks. Torsten Stenzel
began studying piano at the age of five. Initially interested in classical
music, he changed course in the early 1990s when he discovered techno and house
