First entering the spotlight as a member of the 12-person K-pop troupe Iz*One –
who formed on Mnet's reality girl group survival show Produce 48 and were
together for two and a half years – Yena launched her solo career in January
2022. Born Choi Ye-na (Korean: 최예나) on 29 September 1999 in Gil-Dong, Gangdong,
Seoul, South Korea, she trained with Polaris Entertainment before finding a home
with Yuehua Entertainment and Iz*One, who released the group's debut EP,
Color*Iz, in October 2018. They dropped two full-length albums before disbanding
in April 2021 and from that point onward...
