Viper
Heavy metal band Viper was formed in São Paulo, Brazil in 1985. Founded by
guitarist Felipe Machado, vocalist Andre Matos, bassist / vocalist Pit
Passarell, and guitarist Yves Passarell, the group took inspiration from Iron
Maiden and other bands that had emerged from the NWOBHM (New Wave of British
Heavy Metal) movement from the mid-1970s and early 1980s. They recorded their
first demo tape, The Killera Sword, in 1985 and followed it up with their debut
album, Soldiers of Sunrise, in 1987. After the release of their second album,
Theatre of Fate (1989), vocalist Andre Matos left...
