A leading light of California's lo-fi, garage rock community, Ty Segall was
immersed in vinyl crates of psychedelic surf groups, scratchy punk, distorted
1970s hard rock and obscure Krautrock records from his early teens and has been
prolifically releasing records and playing with an endless number of bands since
the late 2000s.
Raised by his adoptive parents in Laguna Beach, Orange Country, he first fell in
