The Lumineers became one of the breakthrough acts of 2012 with their own brand of Americana and folk pop. Formed by guitarist Wesley Schultz and drummer Jeremiah Fraites in New Jersey in 2005, the pair moved to Denver, Colorado, recruited cellist Neylah Pekarek via an advert on Craigslist, and spent years crafting their songs and performing locally. Their big break came when song "Ho Hey" was used in the television drama Hart of Dixie and a healthy online buzz led to a deal with Dualtone Records.
