Tabou Combo's origins date back to 1967, when Albert Chancy Jr and Herman Nau
made their stage debut at a concert in a Haitian church. Following the
performance, the two musicians decided to continue together and embarked on a
tour under the name Los Incognitos De Pétion-Ville. Acknowledged on the island,
where the group gained in popularity and won Radio Haiti's best musical group of
the year award in 1969, it was in Brooklyn in 1970 that the name changed to
