Min Sun-ye (August 12, 1989), or simply Sunye, is a South Korean singer and
actress known as the former leader of the K-pop group Wonder Girls. Born in
Seoul, she was first discovered by JYP Entertainment after participating in Park
Jin-young's 99% Challenge and joined the media giant's roster as a trainee. In
2007, she debuted as Wonder Girls' lead vocalist on the single "Irony" and went
on to achieve mainstream success with the group, whose first studio outing The
