A demonstrative fusion guitarist capable of tackling all styles, Steve Morse
made his name with The Dixie Dregs in the 1970s, before forming his own band in
1984. The Steve Morse Band went on to release a string of acclaimed albums,
including 1989's High Tension Wires, as well as triumphant tours. In 1996, the
guitarist replaced Ritchie Blackmore in Deep Purple. Steve Morse is regularly
honored in the annual Guitar Player referendum.
