An inventive, eccentric singer/songwriter whose Grammy-winning music draws on
jazz, new wave, and electro influences, St. Vincent creates a uniquely heartfelt
style of art pop that has drawn comparisons to Talking Heads, Patti Smith, and
Kate Bush. Born as "Annie Clark" in Dallas, TX, on September 28, 1982, she began
playing guitar at the age of 12 and toured with her uncle's jazz duo Tuck &
Patti before attending Berklee College of Music. She briefly joined the
