French rapper of Comorian origin, Saïd M'Roumbaba aka Soprano was born in
Marseille on January 14, 1979. Influenced by Marseille's burgeoning rap scene,
with groups such as IAM and La Fonky Family, he turned to music at an early age,
joining the group Psy4 de la Rime in 2002, with whom he recorded four albums up
to 2008. His solo career, which began with a mixtape and then the album
Puisqu'il Faut Vivre (No. 2 in 2007), continued with the live recording Live au
Dôme in Marseille (2008) and a second mixtape, De Puisqu'il Faut Vivre à la
