SOPHIA, a visual kei rock band from Japan, made their major debut in 1995.
Rapidly rising in popularity, they managed to secure a live performance at the
prestigious Nippon Budokan just two years after their debut. The members are
Akamatsu Yoshitomo, Kuroyanagi Yoshio, Matsuoka, Mitsuru, Miyako, Keiichi, and
Toyota Kazutaka. The band originally formed in Osaka in 1994 and quickly moved
to Tokyo after gaining members and releasing their indie album, which sold out
