Smokepurpp is the stage name of American rapper Omar Jeffery Pineiro (May 15,
1997), who rose to fame in 2017 thanks to his track “Audi.” Born in Chicago,
Illinois, he moved to Miami at the age of 3 and took up music production during
high school. He is often credited with encouraging friend and future rapper Lil
Pump to begin recording his own material. Frustrated because nobody purchased
his beats, he began rapping under the pseudonym Smokepurpp in 2015. His early
