Along with Orlandivo and Pedrinho Rodrigues, Brazilian singer-songwriter Sílvio
César took his first steps in music as a crooner in Ed Lincoln’s group, which
dramatically reshaped the sound of samba in the 60s. Born Sílvio Rodrigues Silva
on August 14, 1939, in the town of Raul Soares, he met Ed Lincoln at the famed
Beco das Garrafas nightclub in 1959 and went on to pen numerous hits with the
keyboardist and bandleader, including classic songs like "Olhou Pra Mim" and
