Ricky Lamar Hawk was born on January 22, 1998 in Conyers, Georgia. At the age of
seventeen, he achieved sudden notoriety when two and a half million Americans
watched the video for his song "Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)" on the YouTube channel
of the apprentice rapper now known as Silentó. This dazzling success translates
into a third position for his song on the Billboard charts in early 2015.
Canada, Australia, Great Britain, Germany and France all succumbed to his
immaculately fresh pop rap. Silentó is nominated for a Kids Choice Award for
this song.
