Born Shingo Yasunen on 18 October 1975 in Tokyo, Japanese-American hip-hop MC
and musician Shing02 moved to the Bay Area of California at the age of 15, where
he became immersed in the emerging hip-hop scene of the 1990s. He gained
international recognition for his collaborations with the Japanese producer
Nujabes, particularly for their genre-defining "Luv(sic)" series, which has
