Scha Dara Parr, often shortened to SDP, is a Japanese hip-hop group consisting
of two MCs (Yōsuke Matsumoto, AKA Ani, and Makoto Kōshima, AKA Bose) and one DJ
(Shinsuke Matsumoto, AKA Shinco). The trio formed in Japan in 1988 and made
their official debut with their 1990 album, Scha Dara Daisakusen. Their sound,
characterized by their lyrics and aesthetics, drew comparisons with the American
hip-hop trio Beastie Boys. They released their second album, Towering Nonsense,
