Sarah Silverman – born December 1, 1970, in Bedford, New Hampshire – is a
comedian, actress, writer, and singer. Best known for her comedy, she began her
stand-up career in 1992 and was hired as a writer and occasional performer on
popular weekly comedy series Saturday Night Live during their 1993-94 season.
However, her stint was not successful, and she was fired after one season. Her
next profile job was a guest spot on hit cable television series The Larry
