Sandrine Nnanga grew up in southern Cameroon, where she was introduced to music
through her church choir. While still performing in public, she was spotted by
the Bantu groove group Macase after her A-levels, which she joined first to
complete the backing vocals before becoming the lead singer. Alongside Merveille
Tsang'Mbe and Léonie Nlanga, she performed with the group, making her mark on
the stage and rubbing shoulders with prestigious names in the music world: Manu
Dibango, André Manga, Danièle Eog... As she matured, she decided to strike out
on her own while pursuing studies...
