Sam Carter
Sam Carter is a renowned UK folk singer-songwriter from Rutland in the East
Midlands who has carved a unique niche in the folk music scene, blending
traditional influences with contemporary themes. He began making music in 2008
and in 2010 was named the winner of the Horizon Award for Best Newcomer at the
BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards. He introduced his sound with the Here in the Ground EP
in 2008 and debut album Keepsakes in 2009, showcasing a masterful command of the
guitar rooted in folk traditions. He channelled his interest in American gospel
music into his next album The No Testa...
