Born on 18 July 1980 in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, the J-pop singer and
actor Ryōko Hirosue (広末 涼子, Hirosue Ryōko, born 18 July 1980) began her acting
career aged 15 on the Fuji TV show Heart ni S in 1995 and later that year was
crowned Best Newcomer at the 10th Television Drama Academy Awards for Fuji TV's
comedy series Shota no Sushi. She was awarded the Sponichi Grand Prize New
Talent Award at the Mainichi Film Awards and Best New Talent at the Yokohama
