Richard Elliot rose to prominence as a saxophone player whilst playing tenor in
the horn section of acclaimed jazz funk exponents Tower of Power. Elliot, who
originated from Scotland but grew up in Los Angeles joined Tower of Power in
1980 and stayed with them until turning solo in 1986, signing to Blue Note
Records and releasing his debut album 'Trolltown'. Since then he has released
more than 20 albums as a solo performer whilst continuing to make appearances as
a sideman playing sax for artists such as Smokey Robinson. In 2013 he released
