Originally formed in 2010 by trio Luiz Tomim, also known as "Tomim", Adriel de
Menezes, also known as "AdR", and DJ Kalfan, São Paulo rap troupe Pollo found
fame online and at home in Brazil with their viral 2012 hit, “Vagalumes”.
Featuring singer Ivo Mozart and the acoustic guitar, the song embodied Pollo’s
soft-edged pop-inspired hip-hop, and was featured on the group’s debut album Vim
Pra Dominar o Mundo, as well being featured on the soundtrack of soap opera
