Pitchshifter are one of a number of bands who, whilst not enjoying significant mainstream success, built up successful careers on the back of their music being taken up by the video game industry. In Pitchshifter's case it was having their music used on the soundtrack to the hugely successful games 'Test Drive 5' and 'Mortal Kombat: Annihilation' which projected the band into the platinum-selling big league.
