Phil Asher
Born in London, England in 1966, Phil Asher was a dance and electronic DJ,
mixer, and producer. He became interested in a variety of musical styles – funk,
dance, house, soul, and jazz – while working in a record store. He became a DJ
in 1991, building a reputation in London as a record spinner before moving into
mixing, remixing, and production. Playing a pivotal role in bridging the gap
between 4/4 and broken beat, his work gained recognition around the world,
