From the age of 10 Petra Marklund was determined to be a pop star, preparing
herself with singing and dancing lessons, and by 18 she had landed a record
deal. With a production team behind her and the pop-dance charts in her sights,
she became September so named presumably because it is the month in which she
was born. In 2003, she scored her first hit in her Swedish homeland with debut
single La La La (Never Give Up), followed by We Can Do It, which also charted in
the Swedish Top 10 and prompted a self-titled debut album in 2004. This produced
