Peso Pluma, born Hassan Emilio Kabande Laija on June 15, 1999 in Zapopan,
Jalisco, Mexico, is a Mexican rapper, musician, and singer. He began playing the
guitar during his teenage years and honed his skills by writing songs influenced
by regional Mexican music. Pluma gained moderate success with his first two
studio albums, Ah y Qué? (2020) and Efectos Secundarios (2021). In 2022, Pluma
achieved significant breakthrough with the release of single "El Belicón" in
collaboration with Raul Vega, selling 480,000 units and earning an 8× Platinum
