Penny Tai
Penny Tai (戴佩妮), born on April 22, 1978, in Segamat, Johor, Malaysia, is a
versatile artist known as a singer-songwriter, music producer, frontwoman of the
band Buddha Jump, writer, and MV director. She debuted in Taiwan in 2000 with
the album Penny and released albums annually until 2006, when she transitioned
to digital singles and music video production. Tai has 11 solo albums and three
with Buddha Jump, earning numerous accolades, including being the most-awarded
female artist at Taiwan's Golden Melody Awards. She won Best Composer in 2006
for Crazy Love, Best Mandarin Female...
