Born in Sfax, Tunisia, on March 21, 1952, Patrick Coutin is associated with the
1981 hit he wrote, "J'aime regarder les filles". A student at the Sorbonne
(Paris), studying philosophy and visual arts, his passion for rock led him to
write for the magazine Rock & Folk. Also a musician, the guitarist and singer
tried his luck and recorded a debut album for the Epic/CBS label, Coutin (1981),
at the Château d'Hérouville, featuring the fiery track "J'aime regarder les
filles", which proved to be a radio hit, ranking no. 37 in the French charts and
