Born in Harlem, New York on March 17, 1950, Patrick Adams was a songwriter,
arranger, and producer best known for his work during the disco movement in the
mid-to-late 1970s. Inspired by his childhood spent singing in choir and his
exposure to live performances at the Apollo Theater, Patrick began playing the
trumpet purchased for hm by his father. In his teens, he began playing the
guitar and composing his own songs. He began to focus on his arranging skills,
