The Palast Orchester was founded in 1986 by twelve music students in Berlin and
mainly plays popular music from the 1920s and 1930s. The musical director is the
singer Max Raabe. The ensemble achieved greater fame when their song "Kein
Schwein ruft mich an" was used in the 1994 film Der bewegte Mann . This was
followed by numerous tours, not only in German-speaking countries, but also in
