R&B and zouk singer Oswald, born Oswald Clerveus on May 19, 1989, hails from the
north of the island of Saint-Martin, a French overseas collectivity. He was
thirteen when his parents died and he was taken in by a foster family. Already
drawn to music, he wrote his first songs and in 2007 won a young talent contest
in Guadeloupe, followed by a concert with West Indian stars such as Tanya
