The Brazilian group Os Travessos play a genre of samba known as pagode, a style
known for its festive atmosphere and pop hooks. Formed in São Paulo by
percussionist Chorão, percussionist Rodrigo, bassist Edimlison, keyboardist and
singer Fabinho, and vocalist Rodriguinho, the group performed under various
names before settling on Os Travessos in 1996. That same year they released
their debut album, Nossa Dança which included the single that established their
identity, “Maravilha Poder Te Amar”. They would release six more albums,
