Oblivion Dust

Alternative rock group Oblivion Dust was formed in Japan in 1995. Originally founded by Addict of the Trip Minds drummer Taka Motomura and former Simple Minds bassist Derek Forbes, the duo recruited lead guitarist Kazuhito K.A.Z. Iwaike, and vocalist Ken Lloyd and began working on original material. The band recorded music in Los Angeles but by 1996, Derek Forbes had exited the band, which was just the beginning of a string of personnel changes during the band’s existence.
