Best known for their popular R&B ballad "Heaven," the vocal group Nu Flavor
released two albums during the late 1990s. The band formed in 1994 in Long
Beach, California, where singers Jacob Ceniceros, Anthony DaCosta, Frank
Pangelinan Jr., and Rico Luna began singing together at local parties. Their
sound — a blend of four-part harmonies, soulful R&B hooks, and Latin-pop
