Najwa Latif – born Imratul Najwa binti Abdul Latif in batu Pahat, Johor Malaysia on May 23, 1995 – is a singer and songwriter who came to prominence with the release of her 2011 debut single “Cinta Muka Buku”. At the age of 14, she learned how to play the guitar and began writing songs with her sister, who wrote lyrics. Towards the end of 2010, she began uploading cover versions of then-current hits on social media. Within a few months, she was discovered online and signed to NAR Records in March, 2011.
