Moonspell has been a prolific Portuguese metal band since the mid-1990s.
Fernando Ribeiro's debut Wolfheart (1995), The Antidote (2003) and Night Eternal
(2008) are among the band's most notable achievements. The Portuguese band's
musical style, which is closely linked to gothic metal, is also strongly tinged
with dark metal and what critics have called "avant-garde metal", due to the
band's experimental leanings, a true flagship of Portuguese metal. Alpha Noir in
