Miguel Ángel Mateos Sorrentino (January 26, 1954), professionally known as
Miguel Mateos, is an Argentine singer-songwriter and one of the most important
exponents of the Rock en Español movement during the 1980s. Born in Buenos
Aires, he formed the rock band Zas with his brother in 1979, and, only a year
later, the group became the opening act for Queen during their Buenos Aires
concerts. In the years that followed, Zas and Miguel Mateos went on to become
one of the most popular groups in both Argentina and Latin America with titles
