The Berlin electropop band Mia. was founded in 1997 by Maria Mummert, known as
Mieze Katz (born May 4, 1979 in East Berlin), Andreas Ross alias Andy Penn
(guitar), Robert Schütze (bass), Ingo Puls (guitar, piano, trumpet) and Hannes
Schulze (drums). After Hannes Schulze left the band in 2001, Gunnar Spies took
over the drums. Ingo Puls left the band in 2009, whereupon Mia. continued as a
quartet. Mia.'s musical style is electropop with influences from rock and punk.
