Melvin Crispell III
Melvin Crispell III is a Grammy-nominated gospel singer who kickstarted his
music career in 2019, when he became the winner of the BET singing competition
Sunday Best. He was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, in 1998. Raised by a
musical family whose members included organist Melvin Crispell and celebrated
gospel singer Tunesha Crispell, Crispell began singing at a young age. Both of
his parents passed away while he was still a high school student, and the
traumatic experience strengthened his connection to music as well as the church.
