Despite spending years studying classical music and later strumming away as an
indie songstress, French songwriter Melody Prochet really found her voice when
she met Tame Impala's Kevin Parker and immersed herself in his world of
sun-kissed, dream-pop, psychedelia.
Raised in Puyricard, Bouches-du-Rhone in the South of France, Prochet's father
was a bass player in an Italian rock band in the 1970s and she grew up listening
to his jazz records, before going on to spend 12 years studying piano and viola
