MC Marks, born Paulo Alexandre Marques, is a Brazilian funk artist from
Americanópolis in São Paulo's southern zone. Growing up in a working-class
neighborhood, he was deeply inspired by funk music and influenced by a pagode
group his father was part of. MC Marks began working at age 14 to support his
family, but by 2012, he decided to dedicate himself fully to his passion for
