French reggae is fast becoming a major reggae movement outside Jamaica. Like
Germany, France boasts a rich local scene and artists of international stature.
Blending roots reggae and dancehall, Maxxo reappeared with New World Design in
2007. Backed by a host of illustrious contributors, including Sly & Robbie on
four tracks, 2010's For the Next Generation is the album of a future big name.
