Born in Stockholm, Sweden on June 8, 1948, Mats Rådberg was a Swedish country
music singer and songwriter. His recording career began in the late 1960s with
the band Rank Strangers. They released one album under that name – Country Our
Way (1969) – before they briefly changed their name to Rank Strangers featuring
Mats Rådberg. By the early 1970s, he was releasing albums under the name
Rankarna & Mats Rådberg. He participated in Melodifestivalen 1977 (the contest
to help find the Swedish entry to the Eurovision Song Contest). His song, “Du
och jag och sommaren”, took 10th place. ...
