Massimo Pericolo
Based in Brebbia, Northern Italy, Alessandro Vanetti (November 30, 1992) is a
rapper who took the name Massimo Pericolo during a two-year prison sentence for
drug charges in 2014. His debut album Scialla Semper (2019) took its name from
the police operation that led to his arrest. Producing trap-influenced beats
with a nihilistic and violent lyrical content that he terms 'emodrill,' he
released a series of videos linking his music with gang lifestyle evoked through
imagery of guns, drugs, and balaclavas. An anti-institution message is also
prominent as he burns his electoral card...
