Martha Wainwright
The daughter of folk legends Loudon Wainwright III and Kate McGarrigle and
brother of singer Rufus Wainwright, Martha has blossomed into a candid
songwriter with a wicked turn of phrase and a husky purr. First coming to
attention by singing backing vocals for her family members, the Canadian
independently released a number of early EPs before debut album Martha
Wainwright (2005) produced the singles When The Day Is Short and Factory and
brought a heap of critical acclaim. She sang on Snow Patrol's hit Set The Fire
