Fronted by vocalist and chief songwriter Adam Levine, Maroon 5 are a Grammy
Award-winning American rock band hailing from Los Angeles, California. Formed in
1995, they enjoyed mainstream success with their 2002 debut, Songs About Jane,
which sold more than 5 million copies in America and produced hit singles like
"Harder to Breathe," "This Love," and "She Will Be Loved." Maroon 5 toured
heavily in support of the record's release, and the exhausting schedule soon
took its toll upon drummer Ryan Dusick, who left the band in 2006 and was
replaced by Matt Flynn.
