Born in Yorba Linda, California on January 31, 1987, Marcus Mumford is a British American singer, songwriter, and musician best known as the leader of UK-based folk rock band Mumford and Sons. The son of English parents, Marcus Mumford was born in Southern California but moved to London when he was six months old. He grew up in Wimbledon Chase and attended King’s College School, where he met future Mumford and Sons collaborator Ben Lovett.
