At the end of the 1990s, Dolly had been one of the revelations of French rock,
with songs such as "Je ne veux pas rester sage" and "Quand l'herbe nous dévore".
A blend of rock, folk and country, the Nantes-based band inspired by the Pixies
and The Pogues came to an abrupt halt in 2005 when bassist Mickaël Chamberlain
passed away. It was a year before ex-members of the band re-emerged under the
name Manu, inspired by former Dolly singer Emmanuelle Monet. The album
Rendez-Vous, released in 2008, was followed by a long tour, summed up in the
live CD/DVD Rendez-Vous à l'Elysée-Montma...
